After the great success of the previous editions of the International Conference on Food Bioactives & Health and especially the one held in Parma in June 2022, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th FBHC (FBHC2023)! The conference has already established itself as an important international forum to present the latest research results in the field of food bioactives such as (poly)phenols, glucosinolates, carotenoids, peptides, (poly)saccharides, lipids, and other beneficial food constituents, but also of food contaminants and toxins. Contributions to the development of functional foods and food supplements, nutrition policy, personalized nutrition, and bioavailability, absorption, and metabolism of food constituents and their interaction with gut microbiota are especially welcome. Researchers, practitioners and policy makers with different professional backgrounds (e.g. physiologists, nutritionists, pharmacologists, plant scientists, toxicologists) are highly welcome to create a multidisciplinary discussing forum typical for Food Bioactives & Health conferences.
The congress will be held September 18-21, 2023, at the Prague Congress Centre in the beautiful capital of the Czech Republic. Prague is located on the Vltava River and it is a historical and cultural center of the Czech Republic, famous for its vibrant lifestyle and unique atmosphere, where history breathes around the corner, combined with modern architecture, music, art, and great cuisine, both traditional and contemporary. The historic center of Prague is protected by UNESCO and Charles Bridge is ranked 6th most attractive monument in the world.
The Prague Congress Centre is located in the center of Prague, next to a metro station and in close proximity to two hotels with 800 rooms. The main tourist attractions are within walking distance from the Centre. The Congress Centre offers large and flexible congress capacities as well as a magnificent view of historic Prague.
